In anticipation for the The fourth edition of Wonderfruit (a celebration of world music, art, food and eco-workshops in Thailand); Collective Minds and Fat Fish Familia are kicking off the festival vibes a week early here in Singapore!
We’re bringing the iconic Jayda G, local heros Orio & Rocco, and the much in demand Broad Back (HK) to Kult Kafe’s beautiful venue.
Jayda G is a Canadian DJ that moves back and forth from Vancouver to Berlin. As a music producer, she came out with her first release on the Australian label, Butter Sessions, in May 2015. Jayda G has also recently started a new record label project called Freakout Cult. The co-produced label, with Sex Tags Mania co-founder DJ Fett Burger, was inspired by the Freakout Cult club night the two started in Vancouver. The record was released late September of 2015. A successful mini tour of the UK kicked off 2016 and her first solo EP landed on Freakout Cult in Spring 2016.
Orio & Rocco (Fat Fish)
FAT FISH is an experience that one must explore through body and mind. It is an exhilarating time and space ego-altering trans-fixation that keeps you enthralled while enduring the mind-melting flavor of love and light. The joy and pure love of Orio and Rocco’s friendship illuminates the room through their rarefied music and their infectious excitement for life.
Orio & Rocco are known for painting the town red with the hottest parties and spinning some of the best funk and fiesta tracks in Singapore. Ever since it’s inception, Fat Fish have brought something fresh and exciting to Singapore’s thriving music scene.
James Woodward aka Broadback has been DJ’ing for 15 years after starting out on an East London pirate radio station. He has played in most of HK’s biggest clubs and has featured in HK’s biggest music festival, Clockenflap.
Be sure to save the date! Whether you’re going to Wonderfruit Festival the following week or not, this celebration of world music and positive vibes isn’t one to be missed.
