Chef Haikal Johari is the Executive Chef at Alma by Juan Amador, the Michelin Starred restaurant. Haikal has honed his skills in many established restaurants in Singapore and was the founding chef of the Water Library, one of the finest culinary institutions in Thailand prior to his appointment at Alma by Juan Amador.
In 2015, Alma by Juan Amador was born. Alma, means ‘soul’ in Spanish, and the restaurant was named to acknowledge the Spanish Descent of Chef Juan Amador, partner of the restuarnt. The restuarant aims to create the culture of food and the shared experience that a meal evokes, offering a sanctu- ary where great friends and even better food unite for a memorable dining experience. Alma is humble and understated and aims to create accessible Michelin quality food for everyone.
